What's more, is that some digital hygrometers can also provide you with temperature readings.
Smart Hygrometer
Compared to analog and digital hygrometers, smart hygrometers are the newest and most innovative way to keep track of the humidity level inside your humidor. Smart hygrometers are very much the same as digital hygrometers, except they can be connected to your mobile device via Bluetooth or the Internet. That way, you can keep track of the humidity level inside your cigar oasis remotely.
Are Humidor Hygrometers Accurate?
That would really depend on the hygrometer you own or plan on buying. All humidor hygrometers sold on our website are calibrated and accurate. With that said, it's also worth mentioning that different types of hygrometers will lose their original calibration over time.
For instance, you should calibrate your digital hygrometer once every year to ensure accuracy. For an analog hygrometer, you need to calibrate it every six months. Where Should a Hygrometer Be Placed?
To get the most accurate humidity readings, it's essential that you place your hygrometer in a place within the humidor that most accurately represents the overall humidity inside. Before placing your hygrometer, there are a few things to remember:
- Make sure that it makes no direct contact with your cigars, cigar cutter, ashtray, or any other accessories you may be storing in your humidor
- Make sure the placement is as central as possible
