FDA Tries To Burn The Premium Cigar Industry?
Why should premium cigars be lumped in with cigarettes when it comes to regulation?
As of late, the FDA has been trying to lump premium cigar smoking, an infrequent hobby, into the same basket as cigarette smoking.
Davidoff's CEO, Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard, and Jim Young, President, discuss recent FDA regulation proposals along with the state of the premium cigar industry. An interesting takeaway is that the premium cigar industry has been growing 3-4% per year globally---the only sector of the tobacco industry that has been growing.
